Great place to spend time with family

Great place to spend time with family. The layout of the house was open and easy to be able to be a part of family time whether it was cooking, watching movies or just hanging out. My only advice is if you enjoy watching movies, maybe bring some with you. The grocery store down the road had a few to choose from, but not much of a selection. If I had any questions, the host was easy quick to respond and was very friendly. It wasn’t too far from Leavenworth, which was nice and felt like we were tucked away from the all the busy tourist areas. We could enjoy the festivities then retreat back to a relaxing home!

A beautiful place that we’d love to stay again - just the perfect amount of distance between Leavenworth to feel like you’re not near everything but close to a wonderful winery and coffee shops at the hardware store. A big plus is that it’s only a 2 minute drive away from the top snowmobiles and sleigh ride tours.

We came for my best friends mothers 75 birthday and so I could hike to colchuck lake with my fathers ashes. The house was far enough away from town for us to feel relaxed and secluded from the hustle and bustle of noise but close enough to town and even Wenatchee to go exploring when we wanted.

We initially had a different location through them, but there was a glitch and it wasn’t cleaned yet. When I reached out they got right back to me with multiple options within ten minutes of my current location to stay instead. They checked in throughout the transition and even brought a gift card for the local coffee shop. The house was just as pictured and we really enjoyed ourselves. Everything was very clean. It had all amenities listed and more. We will likely book again soon.

The home was so clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We loved the location close to rivers, Lake Wenatchee and Leavenworth. We had a great meal at Wildflour in Kahler Glen, and rode horses at the nearby ranch. We’ll be back!

This cabin is close to the Plain Valley Ski Trails. It has a well stocked kitchen and comfy couch and beds. Expect a lot of communication from NW Comfy Cabins before arrival. The only issue we had was the bedrooms got really warm at night despite trying to turn down (or even off) the thermostat. Otherwise we had a great stay and appreciated the space and proximity to xc skiing. I would stay here again.

Holly, So glad you enjoyed your stay at the Alpine Acres, and I apologize if the pre communicatioin seemed a little excessive but you would be surprised how many people do not open, read, or communicate back before their arrival date and just arrive to a property without their code/pertinent information at 10 PM at night..so it is our endeavor to ensure everyone's check in process goes as smoothly as possible. A Fantastic Space

Our family of four adults stayed here over the Christmas weekend. We had a lovely time in this very comfy and well appointed home. They even had a tree and decorations up for the holidays, which was a welcome touch! The space is as shown in the photos. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is VERY well supplied for cooking. The garage is a warm and excellent staging area for outdoor activities (we did not play ping pong or air hockey). The home is well heated, but the upstairs gets a bit warm for sleeping, remedied by opening a window. Location is great if you are looking to be in the outdoors in this region; you are a 20 minute drive to Leavenworth, which bothered us not at all, as we were staying and cooking on site. All in all, a fantastic space to enjoy family, food, and winter fun!

Fantastic cabin. It was bigger and had more beds than expected. Likely could sleep 12 but would need special approval as it is set to a max of 6 person. We loved the large wrap around deck. Kids loved the ping pong and air hockey in garage. Would definitely stay again!

Great location for a family

This property was wonderful for our family and dog. Very spacious, clean and we enjoyed the fire pit on the deck, the hot tub and the game room. We appreciated that our dog could join us for this trip as well. Do note that there are two large and "curious" dogs at the property next door who will come over every time a dog is outside at this property. It is well-fenced, but if you have a nervous or aggressive dog, you'll managing that dynamic. The home is located just 2 min from a small restaurant, hardware store/gift shop and small grocery store and about 20-25 min from Leavenworth and is set in a neighborhood with a large open yard surrounding it.

Perfect for us!

I chose this location due to the location between Fish Lake and Leavenworth. My parents came to visit last minute and both of my parents have relatives in the Leavenworth and Wenatchee area. Also my dad loves fishing at Fish Lake. The place was also great for our two dogs. We had plenty of space to walk them. We will consider them again for future visits.

This is a very comfortable and clean house, in a quiet and peaceful location. The house was very clean and comfortable, and the location -- close to both Leavenworth (about 30 min drive) and Lake Wenatchee (about 15 min drive) -- is very covenient. We had a great stay with friends, and will be back!

Perfect place to visit for a weekend in the snow. There is a snowshoe rental shop and winery within walking distance. Our dogs also had an absolute blast in the large yard. Hope to stay here again soon

This was our first time in the Leavenworth area and this property delivered! Upon entering you could feel and see the cleanliness and care that goes into preparing the home. Loved the Christmas decor, garage set up (foosball table), house layout, comfort of the bed(s) and hot tub. Every single item I pulled out of the cabinets was sparkling. This has been an issue at other places so I truly appreciate it. On the “opportunities “ side please provide a cleanser (409, Fantastic, etc.). I brought a disinfectant but forgot my cleanser. With the snow falling and hazardous driving conditions I could not clean the counters like I wanted to. Other products like leather cleaner, dishwasher detergent, and soap were available. Not enough dish towels either. And while we loved the location please note that it’s 30 minutes from the downtown Leavenworth village. Just for those seeking something closer. Overall a fantastic place and one we hope to visit again! Thank you!

The house was extremely comfortable and we loved the location near to Plain Hardware and the x-country/snowshoeing trails. It was great to be able to walk there and it was a short drive to the Lake and trails there as well. Whenever we had a question or request, the property management was extremely responsive and super nice.

We had such a great time at the cabin - we loved the hot tub, fireplace, and cozy atmosphere. Sleeps a ton of people, just be aware there are only 3 true private bedrooms! The master downstairs has its own bath, and then the two queen bedrooms and 5 other beds in the common sleeping areas share the one upstairs bath. This worked totally fine for us with only 5 people, but might get crowded with more. The house was clean and well-kept. We didn't use them (next time/with kids we would!) but there is a ping pong table and air hockey setup in the garage. The property managers were easy to access and excellent instructions were provided prior to check-in. Easy to find and right in "downtown" Plain with easy access to ski/snowshoe rentals and trails. Would definitely stay again!

Had the best family vacation. Home was exactly as described. Very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We really enjoyed the little town of Plain. Leavenworth was only 20 minutes away so got the best of the town and some peace and quiet. The outdoor hot tub in the snow was our favorite place. However, the town cancelled all 4th of July events due to COVID. We still made the most of our trip, but would not have stayed the third night if it was not required.

The property management company is very professional and responsive. Upon arrival, we noticed some housekeeping issues (I.e. cigarette butts left outside, trash and food under the beds). We notified the property management company and they responded quickly with an apology. We enjoyed that lodge is stocked with appliances and kitchen utensils. The only other complaint would be that the wrap around porch is peeling and needs to be sanded down and painted/sealed again. One of our children was sitting outside on step and got a huge splinter from deck. There are also seems to be some wasp nests under the deck as the wasps were going in and out from the wood panels our entire stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect! very clean and well stocked. The kitchen knifes are my favorite part though. Someone has spent time honing them to perfection well done! and the hot tub was freshly filled with crystal clean water and the fire table out back is so nice to sit around in the evening... Cabin was great, except flushing the toilets are very touchy, make certain you use the minimal toilet paper or they will clog; fortunately they supplied plungers. Hot tub was OK, jets were not very good, other than that it was great. Cabin was clean, and well stocked with cooking devices, dishes, blankets, pillows etc..., BBQ and Gas fire pit were great. very comfortable place and just far enough from other homes to feel private. All in all a very pleasant stay. I recommend Alpine Acres for your family trip!

I am so glad you enjoyed the many lovely and memorable features of this fantastic getaway, it is one of my personal favorite places to be. We had a really nice time. The wraparound deck is awesome. There are multiple seating areas all around the deck. The corner couch with the propane fire place was just perfect. The kitchen is well stocked. The yard is huge and flat. Lots of space. Hot tub was a hit. We did have a bee problem the gardeners were addressing when we got there. we were still a bit nervous about it the next day and the owners were very responsive and sent someone out first thing to fix. Great experience. Would go back!

Thank you for your comments. Those darn bees, we have to watch for them each year and get on it as soon as we see them. They are very stubborn but they are gone for the year and we will be watchful for any return.

We were a little concerned about distance from Leavenworth proper as having always stayed within the city. Except for the parking in town, this was not a problem. As a group of 13 we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet and wide open spaces for the kids to enjoy themselves. The home was beautiful, well furnished and decorated. It could have easily held several more people. The large open kitchen was great for group meals. Roads and driveway were well maintained. Only a few minor items prevented a perfect score. The air hockey table did not operate, body wash container in master bath was empty, broken glass on garage floor was not thoroughly removed, with the garage intended as a major play area this could have been serious had we not spotted the danger. Also the supply of bath linens was rather slim with only one set per person and 4 extra hot tub towels. We returned from a town trip to find the hot tub lid open, odd.

Thank you for your comments. It is certainly a big concern that glass could be missed in the garage. We will remind cleaning staff so that they are more careful to be watching the gaming area. The hot tub lid can blow open when a wind comes through the valley, we keep a cable on it but once guests use the hot tub, they generally do not replace the cable during their stay. The air hockey was simply not turned on. There is a on off button and it is working perfectly so that must not have been noticed by your group and I am sorry. There is a full size washer and dryer for guests use if additional clean linens are needed while guests are at the property. We are very sorry that the body wash was empty, that should have been noticed and if you had called we could either guide you to the supply or deliver more for you. I hope that all the other parts of this amazing cabin made for a great vacation and we will bring your comments to the girls to remind them of the importance of watching for details that are important to our guests comforts. They take these comments to heart and I know it is not intentional when items are missed, we do apologize.

Thank you for your feedback A bit curious about the "location, Ok" comment, I wonder what you were looking for. Just so you know we are always here to answer questions about a property before a booking takes place. This location is generally a big hit, especially with 'girls getaways', as it is walking distance to a couple of tasting rooms, coffee shops, river access and amazing little (practically famous) gift shop in Plain. It is also walking distance to horse rides, sleigh rides, cafe and Mountain Springs lodge (where they often do 'sip and paints" and so much more. Of course we have some great places that are even closer to downtown Leavenworth as well, maybe that was what you were hoping for. Thank you for your feedback A bit curious about the "location, Ok" comment, I wonder what you were looking for. Just so you know we are always here to answer questions about a property before a booking takes place. This location is generally a big hit, especially with 'girls getaways', as it is walking distance to a couple of tasting rooms, coffee shops, river access and amazing little (practically famous) gift shop in Plain. It is also walking distance to horse rides, sleigh rides, cafe and Mountain Springs lodge (where they often do 'sip and paints" and so much more. Of course we have some great places that are even closer to downtown Leavenworth as well, maybe that was what you were hoping for. I hope that you will take advantage of our return guest discount and come back again, maybe you would prefer the Leavenworth River Haus which is one and half mile from downtown Leavenworth.

Came for a girl's weekend. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The wrap-around deck was spacious and had plenty of seating for the whole group. The rental staff contacted me the day prior to our arrival and provided instructions about arriving and getting into the cabin. They were friendly and professional. A great experience. Would highly recommend.

This was a really nice property. Well equipped, good layout, plenty of activities, and great location. We loved the gas fireplace on the deck, watching the sky from the hot tub, walking to the neighboring winery, lawn games in the sun and the quiet at night. The inside is spacious with plenty of seats. The kitchen was large and accommodating of multiple people prepping for a meal. This is one of my favorite rental properties in the Leavenworth/Plain area.

The house was nice and everything was mostly good. There were a couple small things we noticed - the air hockey table worked but was uneven. The light in the upstairs bathroom on the first switch didn't work. Some of the hot tub jets didn't work. But overall it was nice. The privacy was not great at all. Did not realize the house was surrounded by neighbors.

This is our third year retreating to Alpine Acres Lodge and the beauty of Plain for our family Christmas, and it just continues to be our favorite time for family in this comfy cabin. However, this year many in our party had sinus issue and we noticed that when the forced air furnace came on the symptoms became worse. We checked the furnace and found that the filter was extremely dirty. Reported it to property management, and sent the pictures taken to document the issue, who indicated that they would notify the property owner. That the cost of the rental of this property I would have thought monetary compensation would have been offered...especially since we had rented the property three years in a row and have again rented it for next Christmas.

Three families, each with 2 kids, and we had plenty of space to relax and run around outside. The property is very nice and the house was very clean and well kept. However, part of the yard was scattered with goose/dog poop so we constantly had to make sure the kids watched where they stepped. We also had to buy extra paper towels and kleenex; for some reason the house wasn't adequately stocked with this stuff. In general, we had a great time and would recommend the property to our friends.

This house was comfortable and homey. Our four year old loved sleeping in the wagon bed and the lawn was a safe play space. We walked to the river and neighborhood wineries, drove to the lake to swim, rode horses nearby and enjoyed the country feel.

Stayed at Alpine Acres with two other families. Such a fun vacation home and we love that it is dog-friendly and walking distance to "downtown" Plain and wineries. As some have commented, the house was maybe a bit dusty under couches, hot tub water not quite as crystal clear as one might hope, one upstairs bed quite squishy/squeaky, but overall maintenance/amenity level is good and the home is beautiful and comfortable and light-filled. We do a lot of vrbo-type rentals and this is a good one. Thankful for a fun stay!

We stayed here for five nights over Christmas. The cabin was nicely decorated for the holiday, there was even a Christmas tree! The cabin is well equipped and generally well maintained. It could do with a thorough dusting, however. This cabin is pet friendly, which was great for us, but be prepared for some left behind pet hair. 🙂 If you have allergies or are sensitive, you should rent a property that does not allow pets. Some neighborhood dogs roam the property from time to time, beware of dog poop!
You can easily walk to wineries, convenience store and Plain Hardware Store for coffee. Overall we had a great stay. We have stayed with Comfy Cabins before and would do it again.

Three families spent three nights here and it was perfect for us. Spacious kitchen for group prep. Well stocked kitchen. Latte machine was great bonus. Table large enough for our dinners. We all enjoyed the hot tub, although could never figure out how to make the bubbles run. Only one hitch. We arrived to find some small problems with housekeeping and texted property manager. No response. The second day there we received an email asking how our staying was going. Replied with a repeat of housekeeping concerns. No reply. Then received a request to write a review several days after our stay.

The cabin was not ready at 4:00pm for check in and there was a very strong smell of cleaning odors that required us to open windows for 8 hours. We also were delayed on our New Years eve dinner for the replacement of the oven which lasted a hour, the owners had to bring a new one in from the west side.

We rented this cabin for two nights to celebrate Christmas with friends and go to the tree lighting festival in Leavenworth. Everyone was pleased with the location, condition, size and layout. There was plenty of room and we loved the Christmas decorations (especially the tree and lights!) The only observations I had that kept it from an overall 5 star review were that the floors needed a good cleaning around the edges and corners, plus the pots & pans need to be replaced with ones in better condition. We would rent it again and I have recommended it to friends already.

It was a moving experience getting back to nature. I have never been to such a place with so much tranquility. Thanks to Denise and her staff it was an experience that will not soon be forgotten. From the moment we arrived we were in awe of our surroundings. The peaceful valley floor surrounded by the beautiful mountains was a vista to behold by anyones standards. The quaint little store in the small village of Plain was like going back to a bygone era. We were pleased to meet many of the colorful local people who were so friendly and kind.

Our experience at Alpine Acres was great. The house was clean, lots of plates, silverware,towels,espresso maker!, coffee maker. It's in a beautiful setting. Very quiet and peaceful. It's very close to Lake Wenachee State Park and other trails. Leavenworth is about a 20 minute drive. I would definitely stay there again!

Three families, each with 2 kids, and we had plenty of space to relax and run around outside. The property is very nice and the house was very clean and well kept. However, part of the yard was scattered with goose/dog poop so we constantly had to make sure the kids watched where they stepped. We also had to buy extra paper towels and kleenex; for some reason the house wasn't adequately stocked with this stuff. In general, we had a great time and would recommend the property to our friends.
