Experience the ultimate cabin retreat at Alpine Lake Escape (Permit #000238), nestled on the shores of the pristine Fish Lake. Immerse yourself in the beauty of mountain lake views from two decks, the hot tub, or venture down to your private dock for trout, perch, and silvers fishing while observing osprey and bald eagles vying for the catch of the day. Note that Fish Lake is primarily used for fishing, and swimming is not recommended.

This 2300 square ft. cabin, designed for optimal comfort and enjoyment, accommodates 4 guests across three levels. The main floor features a fully stocked kitchen, an eating nook, and a spacious living room with a fireplace and flat-screen TV, all boasting breathtaking lake views. Two bedrooms on the main floor, one full and one queen-sized, share a full bathroom. The large, comfortable open loft on the upper level includes a bathroom with a shower, a king-sized bed, and a sitting area. The newly remodeled lower level, also with spectacular lake views, features a wet bar, French doors, large windows, a full-sized bed, a foosball table, a comfortable couch, and a flat-screen TV for DVDs or streaming from personal devices.

Enjoy the kayaks and paddle boat at the house, or rent a boat just minutes away at the Cove. Alternatively, bring your own boat and utilize the community boat launch just one block down. Small boats suitable for shallow waters can dock at your private dock, allowing you to fish all day and tie up for a relaxing evening sunset cruise.

As the sun sets, barbecue your catch of the day, gather around the fire pit for marshmallow roasting, or unwind in the hot tub under a star-filled sky. In spring, summer, and fall, partake in local activities such as fishing, biking, boating, horseback riding, hiking, and more. Explore Leavenworth for shopping or a lazy float on the Icicle River. In winter, relish snowshoeing and cross-country ski trails around the cabin, ice fishing, or head to Stevens Pass for downhill skiing—just a 30-minute drive.

There are no vehicle restrictions on vehicle types for spring/summer/fall for cabin access. Winter guests please see cautionary notes below:

WINTER GUESTS: This home DOES NOT HAVE DRIVEWAY ACCESS during the winter months. Parking is at the top of the driveway for no more than 2 vehicles. Guests need to walk down to the house, approximately 50 yards. Pack appropriate winter footwear and boot chains.

Please be prepared along with your guests who are driving separate for this access during winter months as there is a steep/slope grade in the community, and when ice/snow are on the ground a 4WD/AWD vehicle with traction tires are necessary AND carrying chains is recommended. No exceptions.

While we do our best to keep this driveway plowed and sanded, winter conditions can change rapidly and make both access to and from this driveway challenging and we cannot guarantee its condition upon your arrival at any time. We are subject to the subcontractor and the Chelan County plows who service this driveway and our county roads so please pack your patience along with following the recommendations below if you choose to book.

Brought the family here for a recent long weekend stay and had an amazing trip. The house was great, very spacious, and was stocked with lots of fun things to do during a snowy trip. We didn't get around to using the woodburing fireplace inside but very much enjoyed the gas fire pit on the deck. My kids loved playing foosball downstairs and we also played some of the games provided. Hanging out in the hot tub under the stars was definitely a highlight. Leavenworth is pretty close by with lots to do but we most enjoyed the cozying up in the cabin and enjoying the peacefulness of being on the lake. Now that we've done a winter stay here we like the idea of coming back for a fun summer stay. I'd recommend this spot for sure!

We had an amazing stay at the cabin. We took the paddleboat around the lake and it was so lovely and peaceful, and we loved sitting out on the deck and looking over the lake, we even saw some otters! The cabin was very cozy, super spacious, and had plenty to do, we hardly left the cabin during our stay, but ventured into town a couple times too and it was a great location for that too. The hot tub was great too and we had some good stargazing. We were here for only 2 nights as a part of a big honeymoon trip, but would happily come back and stay longer to play on the lake more!

Very clean, large, and comfortable!

Very clean, large, and comfortable! We brought our dogs, who also had a blast. The peddle boat was so much fun, and the view was amazing. Beds were comfortable, water for the showers and sinks was normal and heated quickly, and the grill and hot tub worked perfectly. We had more than enough room for the four of us and our dogs, as well as space for their crates without feeling cramped. Highly recommend this place!

Great cabin! Close to hikes and really enjoyed the lake and hot tub. Awesome that we could bring our dogs but the pet fee of $25 per dog per day was a little steep. Thanks for having us at your wonderful home. Would book again!

We appreciate your feedback on the dog fee and understand completely about the additional fees concern, but we do our best to keep the fee under what typical "pet lodging" fees would be so our guests can feel more inclined to bring their furry friends along with them, instead of a facility. We are dog pawrents too, and it is always such a bonus when we find somewhere to stay and can have them join us, since they are family...and let's face it they need a vacation too with mom/dad. 🙂

The place was wonderful. The lake had just shed its ice during our stay which was fun to watch. The hot tub was great and the kitchen was pretty well stocked up. The BBQ was clean and well kept, propane was full for the firepit and the overhead heater. This will be an amazing summer house to visit. The wood stove was a cozy addition to our stay. Only 25 minutes or so for a day trip to Leavenworth. Great view from the porch and upper deck. Place was just as advertised. Thank you for having us.

The location and home are JUST STUNNING!! We were MOST delighted by the view from the kitchen/living room and deck, as well as the private dock and all the wildlife we encountered. We were able to sit on the deck and dock in the mornings to watch Eagles hunt and visit with a very curious family of Otters circling the area. It was enchanting! The hot tub is perfectly located with a wide view of the lake, and it was such a joy to spend time relaxing there! We found maintenance and customer service to be supremely kind, accommodating, warm, and helpful. The location of the cabin was perfect for a GORGEOUS drive to Leavenworth Bavarian Village, while enjoying the privacy, quiet, and epic beauty of the lake. We so enjoyed warming by a fire in the wood stove in the evenings. It truly was an EXCEPTIONAL experience and we hope to return, and/or stay at another Northwest Comfy Cabin again soon!

Our family enjoyed our 4 night stay at Fish Lake. While the lake was incredibly beautiful, quiet and peaceful, there was also a dense algae bloom which made for less enjoyable kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming experiences than we were hoping for. The cabin is large and spacious, well kept and appropriately well used. The cleaning between rentals seemed to be rushed and not as detailed as it could/should have been.

We will be reaching out to you privately to get some clarification on your comment regarding the cleaning as our team takes great pride in our staff's ability to be one of the best in the area and would love to know exactly you felt there was some misses on details. The lake unfortunately does indeed get algae bloom when the temps heat up and some years are more prevalent than others that is why we suggest Lake Wenatchee State Park just a short 5 minute drive away for more "swimming/water inclusive" activities. We loved our stay and found everything very well equipped, clean, comfortable. It was just kind of amusing that the cabin in the end looks a lot different than the pictures mostly due to how HUGE it looks in the wide angle pictures, but it was still more than big enough and very comfortable. If you are wanting to swim you should know that Fish lake especially right around the dock of this cabin is covered in lots of water plants and not really good for swimming in, but Lake Wenatchee is so close it almost doesn't matter - the beach there is one of the best ever.

We stayed three nights in this cozy house and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The place was spotless, and well stocked, especially the kitchen. Fished from the dock, paddled our kayaks and went over to Lake Wenatchee for swimming in the cold water! It was the hottest weekend of the year, but we enjoyed sitting on the downstairs patio in the afternoon. Leavenworth and Plain were good places to visit also. Do make sure to bring some mosquito repellent, as they are present but not annoyingly so.

We had a wonderful four day stay at Fish Lake. Alpine Lakes Escape is a beautiful home with amazing views. The upper deck off the main floor is ideal for us and the dogs. We love the tranquility of the lake and the home. We took about 80 photos of all kinds of birds, flowers and butterflies. Although I didn't catch any fish this year, it was great to trhrow a line out from the great dock. Gail is a professional watercolor artist and she spent most days creating cards from the pphotos we took. We have enjoyed staying at Fich Lake for seven years now, and we'll be back next Fourth of July at AlpineLakes Escape thanks to Jessica and everyone at Comfy Cabins. We can't thank you enough for all you do to make our stay amazing. We spend every 4th here because there are no FIREWORKS to tend with. We already planning and looking forward to next year.

We were hoping for a getaway far enough from Seattle to feel like we went somewhere, but secluded enough so that we were being safe during COVID times. This place met all of our expectations and then some. We had a wonderful time visiting with various ice fisherman on the lake (spread out of course) and with the lack of big crowds overall, we could enjoy snowshoeing directly outside our backdoor onto the pristine lake. Daily dips into the hot tub after a day of sledding just outside our doors or snowshoe excursions around the lake. While the cabin can definitely sleep many comfortably, even with our small family of 4 the cabin felt intimate while still giving everyone enough space to do their own thing when they wanted. The fact that lake access is primarily for homeowners and guests make crowd avoidance very simple. We are excited to check out all the summer activities on the lake as well. Highly recommend!

We have stayed here several times and as usual everything was as expected and would highly recommend this home. As a vrbo property owner I am disappointed in the greed of the property manager, I gave a weeks notice of wanting early entry the property was vacant for the 4 days prior to our arrival but yet at no added cost to anyone they charged a $50.00 early entry fee. that isn't very good customer service.
Steven, Thank you so very much for your feedback and I am so sorry you feel that way. We have ALWAYS offered a no fee early check in as a COURTESY for our guests of 2:30 or later, you were granted a 1 pm check in which means different protocol need to be put in play for our staff for pre arrival inspections so I apologize if that seems "greedy." Just because a unit shows "available" on our calendar it does not show our scheduling for staff on the backside. We are currently under different requirements due to Covid and there is a lot on the backside of operations that guests do not see, or know about. You are a very valued return guest and we have and always will if available allow a fee free early arrival of 2:30 pm IF our operational side will allow. We have stayed at several Comfy Cabin locations at Fish Lake since 2014. Always very helpful and treat their guests with great respect. We have reservations for Alpine Lakes Escape for July of 2020 and looking forward to it already. We love Fish Lake and our furry pets love it too. It is so relaxing, and peaceful. We stay there on the 4th of July holiday every year, due to the fact that there are no fireworks allowed. Our family is not into all that noise. Our stay at Alpine Lakes Estate in October was just perfect, good weather and lots to see as usual. Thanks for all you do for us.

Thank you for being our guests at the Alpine Lake Escape. We will present that idea to the owner for a 'fire stick'. I cannot get away from the lake when I am there. The activity on the water by the Osprey and Eagles each night as they fish for dinner, ever changing colors of the day, and even the Otter that fishes along the shore, it just keeps me so entertained, it is hard to even be inside this time of year. We had a really nice time at "Alpine Lake Escape" in early summer. There was room for seven of us for meals and leisure activities. We loved the easy access to the dock and lake, as well as the regional attractions at Lake Wenatchee, Leavenworth, and the Wenatchee National Forest. The house was clean, the furniture comfortable, and lots of kitchen equipment and condiments for our cooks. Suggestions: the bar sink in the basement has a deep clog, causing very slow draining. That level could also use a discreet mirror, for use of basement sleepers. We loved seeing all the birds! Eagles and ospreys fishing; hummingbirds, crows, ravens and other winged lovelies.
Thank you for your thoughts and ideas. They are helpful to us. We have unclogged the sink and it is back up and So pleased that the wildlife put on their show for you. It is magical.

We have been renting this house for 3-4 years now and the home owners continue to make little changes that make it better. There is a new couch downstairs to relax and watch a movie. A foosball table my 3 year old had a blast learning to play, and more storage. The kitchen also is well sticks with a few basics like salt pepper and even flour. Fishing was fun and we enjoyed the updated dock. Only recommendation I would suggest is to go back to using the unscented laundry detergent for those with fragrance allergies.
So glad you enjoyed it and the improvements that are taking place. The new dock is quite a nice improvement as well. Hope you will come back again, we love having you.

Our group has been coming to this house for a couple of years. It's a perfect spot to reconnect with friends and family.
My favorite thing about the cabin is the fishing dock that's just a few steps from the back door. I was beyond impressed to find that the owners had replaced the old dock with a nice upgrade that will last for many years to come. Huge value add.
We also loved the new propane appliances (grill, deck heater, and firepit). The grill is a Weber. Fired right up and we were able to get a good sear on our steaks. For our group 1/2, the fun of the weekend is in the meal planning, so we appreciated the attention to quality.
Did a little outing on Saturday morning. Plain Hardware is a mellow alternative to Leavenworth. Friendly folks who know a thing or two about espresso, cool mountain/camping themed gifts, and hardware.
As always Comfy Cabins was responsive and accurate when I made additions to the reservation before the stay.
We had a great time! I'm looking forward to our next visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fish Lake. Despite the smoke, fires and ash we made the best of it. The setting is serine and quite, the cabin is well laid out and nicely appointed and our kids had a great time fishing and playing with the toys.

The only problem we had were several maintenance issues at the cabin. First the plastic knobs for the burners on the grill were all stripped. They turned but didn't turn the gas on or off. I had to pull them off and adjust the pins on the valves by hand. Also, the screen door to the deck is unusable. At one point it jammed closed and half my family was stuck outside. Eventually we got it open and used the glass sliding door the rest of the weekend. Finally, the dimmer switch in the basement is shot so the ceiling lights didn't work or would flicker on and off.

Overall there were no major issues at this cabin however these issues provided continued irritation when trying to relax for a long weekend away.
Thank you for your input and comments. Each of the things you mention were not something we were aware of and have been taken care of already. The screen door is a very light screen door that lifts easily out of the track but gets a bit sticky when pine needles get on the track. There is a brand new grill and it is quite a nice addition. The owner has also added a wonderful outdoor living space on the back porch off the family room. We will be putting in a propane firepit to sit and enjoy the patio and view the lake in all kinds of weather. I hope you will come see it again with the new outdoor living space. Very sorry for the bother of the items that were causing concern but we have addressed the issues you brought to our attention and we do appreciate that a great deal.

This is the second time we have stayed at Alpine Lakes Escape. It is a great cabin with outstanding views. We have stayed in Comfy Cabins rentals since 2014. The people are so awesome to work with, and they bend over backwards to make sure our stay is perfect. We tried to get back to Alpine Lakes next year, but someone beat us to the punch, so we will be staying next door at the Otter Chalet, we stayed there in September of 2016. Everything at Alpine Lakes was great, we love this cabin. Bears Den was our first and favorite, but Alpine Lakes is a close second.

The cabin has everything you could possibly need! Very comfortable beds and great space to spread out. The view is gorgeous and we enjoyed fishing off the dock.

This is our 2nd stay at Alpine Lake Escape. Since our first time, the owners have made some updates, and they are great.

For a family with young children the layout was perfect. We could close the baby gate upstairs in case our toddler woke up in the middle of the night and wanted to wander. The play area downstairs has DVDs and a few toys enjoyed by the kids.

The new stairs that go down to the dock was also a nice addition. It was windy a good portion of our trip, so it was nice to fish from the dock when it died down instead of committing to a boat and spending time trying to fight the wind.

What's nice is even if you are indoors, you get a great view of the lake, so it helps you feel connected to wherever anyone is in the house or property.

The location was great, there are a couple of shops within a 5-10 min drive to get what you need and Leavenworth was a quick 25 min drive.

The property management firm is super nice, and I've continued to enjoy my interactions with them over the past 3 years.

All amenities we needed were at the house (salt, pepper, dishwashing liquid and detergent, etc.), and we look forward to coming back next year.

House is beautiful, and it had everything we needed. It snowed and we were able to ice fish. We have rented this house for over 10 years. Only downside? Bring your own firewood. Only three pieces were available. Can be purchased at little store, though.
Cindy, we appreciate you and your friends and family. It is always nice working with you guys and we so so thankful to have you back each year. We do regret that firewood is such a challenge. FIre logs are a great option and we do encourage people to bring them for the inside evening fire. Luckily there is a normal furnace but it is really nice to have a fire. The owner is adding a propane firepit on a covered outdoor living space that they just created this year, so I think that will be a really nice addition for guests this year. Thank you again for coming to enjoy the cabins and the wonderful Fish Lake area.

We enjoyed our stay at Alpine Lake Escape. The location was pertand the cabin was clean and well stocked upon arrival with towels and the basics like TO, trash bags etc. The cabin is fully furnished and Kitchen had everything you needed. What I would improve on at this cabin is making sure the snow on the deck is shoveled before guests arrive. We would have liked to have used that space but did not want to risk damaging the wood because the bottom layer indermythe snow was ice. NW Comfy Cabin has lots of rules for renters but never responded to my email about this. Also the kitchen cabinet with what I assume is food left from guests had some items that needed to be refrigerated in there that we threw out because they had turned (two open containers of chicken broth and a boxed soup that had been opened). My son discovered that he could sled down the driveway when we were unloading our vehicles at the top so he is 100% sold on Alpine Lake Escape!

Other than those minor things the cabin was a very nice place to stay. We would like to go back next Christmas but it’s not available at least according to the NW Comfy Cabin website.

We had to call a tow truck to help us drive back up to the road. We did not have a four wheel drive vehicle. The tow truck driver said he had been there to the same house last year pulling a car out of the trees! Ours slid back up against one so the driveway may look gouged. It needs a warning sign at the top of the driveway.

Made a reservation for May 2017. Invited a different group of friends. Our plan was to fish, prepare food on the propane grill, and relax over a long weekend.
Upon arriving did a quick walk through and noticed a few items that were out of sorts.
The ramp to the fishing dock was dislodged. It sank into the water when you walked on it. You had to jump from the middle of the ramp to get onto the dock without getting your feet wet.
The advertised propane grill had been replaced with an electric George Foreman grill. The propane grill was still onsite, but needed a regulator and a hose.
Contacted Comfy Cabins, and received a response promptly.
Someone came out the following morning to repair the ramp to the dock. Unfortunately, no resolution for the grill.
Picked up a regulator and hose at a local hardware store, and repaired the grill the following day.
Disappointing that we had to fix it ourselves.
In all fairness, Comfy Cabins did give us a small concession for our troubles, and were responsive to our concerns about the dock.
The property itself was a little bit rough. The deck had been replaced the day before, and there was still construction debris laying in the side yard. The propane heater that I remember being on the deck last year was in pieces in the yard, as was the picnic table. The light fixtures on the lower patio were broken and hanging from the side of the house by Romex. There was evidence of a previous leak in the entry way with paint bubbling above the front door.
We’re a pretty laid back group, so not the end of the world.
The rest of the cabin was fine. Roomy, clean, comfortable, and perfect for hanging out.
Once we got the grill and the dock situation taken care of, we had a fantastic time.
Not quite a 5-star experience, but the potential is there.

Unfortunately, the deck off the back of the house had been completely ripped off due to extreme ice dam damage in February. You were our firsts guests back into the cabin after a long span of waiting for ice/snow to melt so we could get the cabin back up and running. The items you mentioned were indeed all part of the repairs/replacements that were/are being addressed. The repairs/replacements will all be in place by end of May 2017. I've been to this cabin twice and for the price it's a great location. The only downside of this cabin is that it's a little worn and the bathrooms are older which makes them appear to be grimy. Everything feels clean but when you see mildew in the corners it makes the place seem not as clean. Great views, great location and cozy living room. I love the basement and how much space is down there. the ceiling is a little low but still a great place.

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was very clean, and well taken care of. We stayed with my husband, our two kids, and my in-laws. Everything was perfect, we never felt like we got cabin fever 🙂 There were kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, fire pit, hammock, VIEW, fishing rods, etc.. 15-20 min drive to Leavenworth. I would definitely stay there again, and again. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Alpine Lake Escape from 4/10/16 to 4/14/16. We were two families of 4 adults and 4 girls ages 11-13. The cabin was plenty big for all of us. The basement was huge, a little apartment in of itself. I found my bed in the upstairs loft to be super comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking as we cooked all of our meals there for the entire trip. Plenty of pots and pans and glasses of all sorts.

The cabin itself is in need of a little TLC, but really nothing that took away from our amazing experience. The cabin was clean and the location was incredible. The cabin was exactly as represented in the pictures and description. The wifi was a little inconsistent at times, but mostly OK. The icemaker in the freezer was also a little hinky, so we just drove up the street to buy some ice.

The management company was great! As soon as we emailed a question, they responded immediately. The were very kind and courteous from the time of booking until we completed our stay.

The best part was fishing off the dock. We caught so many fish, there was no need for a boat. It was windy at times, but we knew that it gets windy on Fish Lake. The outdoor firepit was great as we roasted s'mores every night. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck and soaking up the views and serenity.

The one minus is the trash situation. There are no outdoor bins due to wildlife, so we were told to keep the trash in our cabin until checkout then the cleaning crew would take care of it. We had quite a bit of trash after 5 days and 8 people, but we just sealed it well and stored the bags in the laundry room. It really didn't bother us, but outdoor bins would be a plus.

We would definitely recommend and go back to Alpine Lake Escape.

Beautiful time of year to be on Fish Lake. The layout was perfect for all my adult children and grandson. We all took a walk and enjoyed local ice fisherman-that was a first to experience. Getting to the property was a bit challenging because of the snow but its a great venue.
The roads can definitely be a challenge during those winter months with the unpredictability. But we are thrilled to hear that it did not hinder your enjoyment of the property during this most magical time of year. I love the location of this cabin. We watched the eagles and the boats from the picture windows in the livingroom. The private dock is very close to the cabin which is really nice. We brought a boat but the fishing was great right off of the dock and you don't really need a boat. My only suggestion to owners is that the front of the property really needs some clean up. When you first pull in gives a bad impression. The inside of the cabin is nice. Housekeeping could spend a little more time decob webbing and dusting, but loved the place and would stay again.

Great time. Fishing was the best, Dry flies Monday afternoon. Fish of the week: one brown and a 8 pound rainbow!!!!!!!! Many fish caught and released, except for the larger than life rainbow.
